A liquid tight containment reservoir is created when acid spill barriers and acid resistant floor coatings are properly installed. This type of acid spill containment system brings our customers into compliance with the Uniform Fire Code.
Article 64 of the Uniform Fire Code requires:
- Acid spill containment for all stationary batteries.
- The following criteria must be in place for compliance.
- The containment system must be at least 4 inches high and be of sufficient size to contain all electrolyte from the largest battery in the in the containment area.
